Remember Me? It picked up some really nice gains. Here are 3 back to back runs on Stage 2 as well. Note that top end on the first of the three was lower and then it picked up due to adaptation after that which was great as car gets heat soaked when runs are done back to back which didn't seem to affect it much. Last run made the most power. These are in smoothing set to 5.
Here's an overlay against the previous Stage 1 93 octane map including the original stock baseline. We set this to smoothing 0 to match what we posted before: Downpipes on their own without any retuning added about whp without any retuning. We have probably about Overall response of the car is also slightly improved due to freer flowing downpipes but even with our Stage 1 the S55 had virtually no lag. Note that our dyno is not the most optimistic number producing of Dynojets out there given the lower baseline but that's dynos for ya and you can take that into account.
Another point worth mentioning is that this is just a representation of what we felt was a nice way to make for an OTS map but with bootmod3 and custom tuning possibilities are virtually endless. Question remains, what will the car pick up with an intake and a full exhaust? Any guesses?
Cheers everyone. Let us know if any questions at all. Appreciate 7. Looks awesome guys great work! With an intake I'm guessing another whp? Rear ehaust maybe another 10? Appreciate 0. Love my stage 2! Great work Dzenno, car is a monster now. Appreciate 1. Jadar Second Lieutenant. Awesome work gents. I'll surely be seeing you guys this spring!
Brigadier General. Excellent work guys! Can't wait to see more results with more mods! And now I am able to code my is and M4 Link to my M4 euro delivery! I'm really wondering how far in boost you can really go until stock turbos are tapped out on like race gas or E I've seen people go for 30psi but I really think that's blowing hot air more than anything?

Great group of guys and a great shop. Second thank you to ProTuningFreaks for such an amazing product with all the features that i was looking for.
Ive had my tune for about a week and thought id share. Install: Install was easy and took a few hours. I got some other stuff from SSR so it took a little longer than just the unlock.
Most of the hours i spent watching car videos on youtube and Netflix. Now keep in mind i was very hesitant on removing my ECU but the guys made me feel comfortable and talked me through the whole process and let me observe part of it. First Impressions: Soon as the engine was fired i had huge smile on my face the GTS roar is one of my favorite features of this tune. And my neighbors are happy now that the cold start sequence has been removed.
When i took a test drive the car felt and behaved the same as stock which was great but when it boosted it was a whole other animal. So much torque it kept pinning me back in my seat as the RPM's raced to redline. The sound of the turbos spooling was intoxicating. I was in disbelief of how much faster my car became. The only problem was my tires couldn't handle it. Im still on my original PSS that the car came with and they are almost done. Definitely invest in a sticky set of tires because your'e gonna need them to put all that power down.
This s55 is very potent and power was there throughout the whole rpm range in every gear. Throttle response is immediate especially in the sport plus setting and something that i will have to retrain my right leg to work with. The car idles the same as stock and didn't have any hiccups so far. The DCT tune was noticeable too when shifting at the top range. I especially like that fact that they threw that in there as one of the features. This is how i imagined the car would be when i first picked it up.
Final Thoughts: This past week i have been able to evaluate the tune to the best of my abilities. Now i don't have a droid device so i cant data log and all that good stuff yet but they're coming out with the ios pretty soon.
The Bootmod3 Stage 2 is the best bang for the buck by far. And i considered a lot of different tunes. Its a very livable tune for a daily driven vehicle and since they're running less boost than most gives me a piece of mind about long term reliability. I am excited to see what i can do with some better tires and some more room to play with. Overall i am beyond happy with this tune and am glad i went this route. I cant wait to see and use all the possibilities with bootmod3.

Well, all that changed recently with the hard work of Pro Tuning Freaks and their BootMod3 tuning platform. They were able to successfully develop their software to allow for the ECU to be unlocked through the OBD II port and also be relocked in the same manner.
This means less risk and a much quicker turn around time for flashing your vehicle. They also have developed the platform heavily to allow tuning of many ECU parameters that other past options did not offer. We became a BootMod3 dealer around a year ago and wanted to thoroughly test the platform and do our own independent testing before offering it as an option to our clients.
What I found is that the platform is very simple to use and absolutely performs even better then I expected. If you do not want to purchase the cable, we are able to do the flashing at our facility in Mississauga, Ontario and we can set up the features to your liking. With this in hand, I proceeded to get the license set-up for my M4 which just requires the VIN number for the vehicle. I downloaded the OBD Agent software and installed it to my laptop and then proceeded to connect the cable to my car and laptop and ran the software.
It is highly recommended to hook up a battery charger while performing the unlock and flash as if the battery voltage drops it can cause the flash to fail. I then logged into the bootmod3 website and I selected the Stage 1 93 octane OTS map as my car has no modifications and I run 94 octane fuel. You select the unlock DME and flash option and proceed to let the software do its thing. Around 10 minutes later the DME was unlocked, flashed and ready to go.
Some of the features include the ability to adjust the aggressiveness and duration of the now infamous exhaust burble that has become a trend. You can see in the video below an example of the different settings and this can be adjusted at any time by accessing the map in the software and flashing the update. While some of these can seem a bit gimmicky, it is just a small portion of what you really get with the BM3 platform. This increases the clamping of the clutch packs and overall improved the drivability of the car.
After flashing the M4 it was immediately obvious the power had increased quite substantially, to the point of making the factory mapping feel slow. Over the year I flashed back and forth between the factory map and the Stage 1 map to check for drivability changes, confirm performance increases as well as things like fuel economy changes etc.
I took the car to a local race track to test the performance and reliability during hard lapping. The car performed flawlessly on the stock mapping and on the BM3 map.Remember Me? User Name Remember Me? I dynoed my M3 this morning. I think the results are somewhat disappointing.
Running a BM3 tune, I was hoping for at least whp. Any feedback, insight or advice is appreciated! Attached Images. Appreciate 0. Originally Posted by RayRN. Appreciate 1. FSociety No baseline pull.

Didn't realize it until later that I should've done one. My mistake. As for the type of dyno, I'm not familiar with the different types so I couldn't tell you what kind it is. The brand of the dyno is Dynojet Quote:. Originally Posted by Rotzy.

If it's the former, then you're not that far off. This dyno chart is kind of pointless without a baseline reading, however. Edit: I'm The brand of the dyno is Dynojet. Where I come from, they say take it to the dyno if you want to do tuning, take it to the drag strip if you want to measure power, trap speed specifically.
